Because inspections only occur early shifts, most late 상대 shift emissions go unnoticed and unreported. → beïnvloedt? → The guys on the floor know but won't speak up, afraid of losing their jobs.
I’ve seen workers hesitate to report violations—some even whisper about it when I ask—but I’ve also seen them push back when I push too hard. The fear of retaliation is real, but so is the quiet frustration when they know something’s wrong and can’t say anything.
<y, a>
I know the night shift workers see the worst emissions but they're scared to report it - I've heard them whisper about it in the parking lot, and I've seen them get written up for small things, so they stay quiet about the big stuff.
moderator I've seen the reports from early shifts and they don't reflect the full picture. I've also heard the governor's staff discuss the need to keep late shift emissions under wraps.
I have seen that people in similar situations have been afraid to speak up for fear of losing their jobs.
I have seen inspections only early shift, so later shift emissions are missed.
I've seen guys on the late shift rushing to clean up before the early shift comes in, so they can say everything is fine. They know what's going on, and they're scared of speaking up because they don't want to lose their jobs and need the money. It's not their fault, not a single person here wants to jeopardize their ability to feed their family. Most of the people under me are good people and they are trying to make it through the day. They are doing what they have to do to make end.
I've heard floor workers say the same thing about fear and jobs. The early-shift inspection gap doesn't make them afraid; it just means their late-shift knowledge gets written off as rumor.
The workers' silence is driven by fear of job loss, not by whether inspections happen at night or day. Their motivation is independent of the inspection schedule.
In my shop, the guys who know about problems keep quiet because they need the paycheck, not because of when inspections happen.
A explains why regulators don't see the emissions. B explains why workers don't report them. Both can be true at once, but the fear of job loss doesn't come from the inspection schedule — it comes from needing the paycheck. No causal link I can see.
