Lobbying by businesses reduces support for rules. → 影響する? → Nobody ever asks the people living downstream, so the folks who make the rules only hear from the plant.
I don't know if business lobbying directly affects who gets heard about the creek. I just know no one from downstream is ever asked.
I see our lobbying reports show businesses pressuring rules, but I don't see if downstream people are asked in the rule-making process.
A: Lobbying by businesses reduces support for rules. B: Nobody ever asks the people living downstream, so the folks who make the rules only hear from the plant. (its author: Businesses sometimes pressure lawmakers to weaken environmental rules.)
I don’t know if lobbying reduces support for rules, only that businesses pressure lawmakers.
What I've seen with my own eyes is that nobody from the government ever comes down here — forty years, not one knock on my door, not one meeting by the creek. So if the plant is the only one talking to the people who write the rules, that fits exactly what I've watched happen. I can't say from my porch whether regulators are retiring or who drafts the language — I've never even seen the permit — so I can't judge pairs 1 through 3.
The claim about lobbying by businesses doesn't seem to have a direct impact on the claim about nobody asking the people living downstream, as they are separate issues.
The plant manager's personal experience and knowledge of the situation are not directly related to the claim about lobbying by businesses reducing support for rules. They cannot say whether the lobbying would significantly influence the perception of downstream residents being the only ones heard by the rule-makers.
I have seen campaign contributions from businesses influence votes.
モデレーター I see which donors call before the bill is even drafted and exactly what they ask for versus what they say publicly at those donor dinners.
