Downstream communities suffer health impacts from untreated effluent, but their concerns go unheard in rule-making. → 影響する? → Industry pressure reaches lawmakers before bills are written.
I see the cost-benefit memos that prioritize compliance over community input, but I don't see the donor pressure directly.
Downstream communities’ health concerns are ignored in rule‑making, and industry pressure reaches lawmakers before bills are written.
What I've seen is my own concerns going nowhere — I've never been asked anything in a rollback vote. But I've seen nothing about when or how industry talks to lawmakers, so I can't say their pressure comes from our concerns being unheard. If anything it'd be the other way around.
The author knows that downstream health concerns often go unheard in rule-making, but they do not have information about whether industry pressure reaches lawmakers before bills are written.
From my experience, I've seen that the concerns of downstream communities often go unheard in the rule-making process, but I don't know if that's because of industry pressure or other factors.
I have seen lawmakers prioritize donor requests over community concerns.
モデレーター Before I've put a single word on paper, three donors have already told me what the bill should say, and I write down their asks because those are the asks I need to keep.
I have testified and been ignored; I have seen industry donors influence bills before they are written, and I know that downstream health impacts (claim A) do not cause that pressure—the pressure comes first.
